Terribly sorry, old chap

OK, OK, I haven't updated this is...well...ages. I'm sorry. Have we cleared the air? Good.

In that time I have been on holiday. Sophie and I went to Disneyland Paris (again) and had a lovely time, thank you for asking. The parks were great as ever and there were a few new attractions we hadn't been on before. Buzz Lightyear has a great ride. You travel through space shooting aliens and getting points. I imagine the marketing literature would describe it as a 'romp' and I suppose they'd be right.

And if you don't believe me, here I am in the queue.

We managed to go on the brand new (not even supposed to be open yet) Cars ride. The theming was good but the ride was designed for kids, so not too exciting.

The Finding Nemo roller coaster is open now, although it was closed for us at the time.

We managed to get into Paris as well and visited the Musee d'Orsay. I've been to a couple of galleries and museums in my time, but I've never seen so many famous works of art in one place, it was quite impressive. We went to Cafe Flore for lunch, only because it was somewhere Jean Paul Sartre used to visit. The food was overpriced but OK.

Anyway, the hotel was lovely, themed as a New England style yacht club. The Bar served cocktails, there was an indoor/outdoor pool, the rooms was large and clean. I was rather impressed.

Februaruaruary

February is the ultimate nothing month. Nothing important ever happens in February. The only event of vague interest was the St Valentines Day Massacre and even that happened in 1929 which is ages ago. It's a little known fact that St Pancakes Day was invented so people didn't forget that February existed. It's so rubbish that it hasn't got a full complement of days in it and the actual number of days changes. Imagine trying to do that with one of the proper months, like September. There'd be outrage. The number of signatures on the 10 Downing Street online petition would cripple the whole interweb.

My posh bike is finished now and I've finally got my arse into gear and taken photos of it:

See. Isn't she pretty? I'd better learn to ride well now.

I preordered my Playstation 3 last week and sold my Wii. The Wii was OK for a bit of a change but was only about as good as a playstation 2 in terms of playability. There are about 3 games out for it and the rest are released sometime in March or something. The PS3 is high def and will go quite nicely with my high def TV, although it will mean re-buying all my DVDs in Blu-ray.

Look Around You - 1 - Maths

I saw this late one night and didn't realise what it was for a couple of minutes. If you didn't go to school in England it may not be quite as funny. The one on ghosts is rather amusing too.

predictably - Christmas

Well that was Christmas then was it? It never seems as good as it used to. I'd swear it used to last twice as long and I'd get three times as many presents. Oh well. I have got a Wii though so it's not all bad. I bought it myself just before Christmas which is cheating but it is a lot of fun. Just a few days until I have to go back to work, oh joy.

woop de doo

Thanks to the delightful (if incompetent) people at AXA insurance, I have a new bike and another is on the way. It's an odd little puppy but I like it. It's singlespeed and has 29 inch wheels. This makes me both an outcast and a gayer, and I've never been happier about it.If neither of those means much to you, then it's probable you're not a mountain biker. However, it is purple which is something everyone can enjoy
